Death Warmed Over Mystery Books
is on its way to Destiny, Texas.
Destiny is located between Pinewood and Burnett Chapel in the beautiful piney woods of East Texas. It's a tee-tiny little bump in the road that consists of a genuine town square; a storybook setting—with pristine park benches, picnic tables, and a small pond in the middle. When you don't have to beat the ducks away with your Scholl's sandal—you could say it almost feels like being in a Norman Rockwell painting.
The old drug store still houses the soda fountain, and remains a favorite hang out for the high school kids. It is located, as all thriving Destiny businesses are, on one of the four streets surrounding the square—also known as Destiny Public Park.
Death Warmed Over is opening in a renovated Victorian cottage near the South East corner—just a few doors down from Tres Chic Salon. (Shameless plug for my best friend Marie's beauty parlor!)
While I'm at it—I better mention my sister's antique and collectibles place, "Recollections," out on Highway 19 smack dab between Pinewood and Destiny. Next time you're on your way to Trade Days over in Pinewood—stop by and browse. (Ruth, my sister, won't be there, she hardly ever is... But Leona will be glad to assist you in any way she can. Ruth will be out catting around—she'll be the size four blonde wearing butt to bust spandex)
Once our doors are open, we will begin a monthly Mystery Reading Group. I'll post updated info as things progress—but please plan to join us online and discuss new releases and old classics.
