About Cindy

Cindy lives in Rockwall, Texas (a lakeside suburb of Dallas) with her husband. She works as an orthopedic research coordinator at a Dallas area children's hospital.

Her debut novel, Death Warmed Over, was released in hardcover in October 2003; it was followed by A Family Affair in November 2005. This new series, set in the East Texas Bible belt, is packed with sibling rivalry, lust, old-fashioned Christian guilt, death of a beauty queen, and, of course, pickup trucks.

Cindy is the Southwest Chapter President of Mystery Writers of America, and was the 2004 President of Sisters in Crime - Internet Chapter. She is a member of Mystery Writers of America, Sisters in Crime, SinC Internet Chapter, SinC Guppies, Romance Writers of America - Kiss of Death, and the American Medical Writers Association; she is also the Dallas Meeting Coordinator for the Southwest Chapter of Mystery Writers of America.

She coordinates and writes the Ask-A-Pro feature for the Sisters In Crime Internet Chapter. She recently interviewed crime reporter turned best-selling author Michael Connelly.

What people are saying about Cindy's novels:

"A Family Affair is as Texas as the two-step and just as lively and fun. Plenty of puzzles and lots of love will delight readers."
—Carolyn Hart, author of the Death on Demand mysteries

"First in the series, Death Warmed Over is a quintessential cozy featuring a sexy, full figured heroine who just loves all things chocolate. Told in a first person conversational style, the reader shares everything that happens to Hannah and it's mightily entertaining as Hannah does her best to imitate Kinsey Millhone. She's supported ably by her fellow Destiny residents who direct their gossip to her ear... (Readers) should enjoy peering over Hannah's shoulder... it was a lot of fun and I'll be on the look out for the next book."
—Karen Meek, Over My Dead Body Mystery Magazine

"What Janet Evanovich does for the Jersey burbs, Cindy Daniel takes to the back streets of the Bible Belt in a rollicking, Texas-sized mystery!"
—Ann Cavan, Sisters In Crime
